We currently need foster families for many of our cats, kittens, dogs, & puppies! Please contact Foster Coordinator Sarah at the email adress below for more information on how you can help save the lives of these animals.
Thank you for your interest in the Humane Society SPCA of Bexar County’s foster care program.
The Humane Society provides foster care for animals that are considered temporarily unadoptable for a variety of reasons including age, illness, injury, or socialization. The Humane Society also provides foster care for the pets of military personnel being deployed overseas.
Fostering is a wonderful experience for those who want to help animals; for those with children who don't want the lifetime commitment of a pet, but who want to expose their children to the compassion of caring for a pet in need; for those who want to see our military men and women return to their best friend; and anyone who has the time to provide a home and care for a pet in need.
The Humane Society is only able to provide foster care for needy pets through the generosity of the local community. Families are always needed, since injured, nursing, and sick animals arrive daily. If you are interested in joining the foster care program please contact Sarah Rihn, the foster care coordinator, by calling the humane society at 226-7461 or by email at foster@humanesocietyspca.org
