The Humane Society/SPCA assists other area shelters by transferring animals to be adopted from our facility.
This provides more room in other shelters so they can continue to serve the public by receiving animals. The Humane Society transfers from Animal Care Services, Animal Welfare Society, Bulverde Humane, Calhoun County Humane Society, Universal City,
Highland Lakes SPCA, City of Windcrest, Goliad Pet Adoption, Kirby Animal Control, Leon Valley Animal Control,
Live Oak Animal Control, and Schetrz Animal Control.
The Humane Society also assists Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation, Inc. by
serving as the weekend drop-off point for injured or ill wildlife.
Call (210) 226-7461 for more information on our wildlife receiving policies.
