Responsible for examining and processing all received animals which includes properly completing necessary paperwork In a prescribed manner
Performs diagnostic procedures including; collecting blood samples, examining animals for infections and infestations
Performs vaccinations, de-worming, bathing and basic grooming
Prepares and sets up animal kennels and related equipment for cage change outs or newly arriving animals according to specific instructions
Responsible for feeding, watering, and exercising animals in designated work area
Rinses scrubs and disinfects animal cages, hallways, floors, and walls in designated area; cleans water and food dishes and related kennel equipment and facilities
Assists in monitoring equipment for proper operation (chemical mixers, hose units, microscope, etc.)
Monitors supply needs and communicate to Supervisor of what is needed in a timely manner
Identifies problems and notifies Supervisor or Lead Technician
Provides accurate information and friendly professional service to the public and to co-workers in a positive, courteous, truthful and tactful manner
Provides holiday and weekend coverage as required
The individual must be capable of functioning independently with minimal supervision
Performs or assists with the euthanasia of animals by injection as required Additional Duties and Responsibilities Assist with fundraising activities and special events as needed

Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
Dust furniture, walls machines and equipment
Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke or water, using commercial cleaning equipment
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Perform miscellaneous tasks including cleaning windows, walls, drinking fountains and garbage cans, polish chrome and restock cleaning supplies
